Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of secure, scalable, high-performance backend systems and cloud-native applications.
- Define architectural best practices across microservices, APIs, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Evaluate, prototype, and implement AI-powered capabilities, including LLM applications and agentic workflows.
- Lead technical investigations, proof-of-concepts, and innovation initiatives aligned with business and product goals.
- Mentor and guide engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Partner with product, security, and platform teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.
- Drive operational excellence, observability, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production stability across distributed services.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on application security, cloud security, and distributed systems.
- Strong programming expertise in Java and Spring Boot, plus object-oriented design, design patterns, and microservices architecture.
- Extensive experience with Oracle, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and other large-scale data stores.
- Hands-on experience designing and building scalable APIs, backend services, platforms, and proof-of-concepts through production deployment.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka.
- Experience leading technical design discussions, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI-powered application development.
- Experience integrating OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, vector databases, and agentic AI platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and ChatGPT.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, debugging, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence technical direction, collaborate across product, engineering, security, and platform teams, and drive execution.
