Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain systems, libraries, and components using Java, Scala, Spark, and related technologies.
- Build reusable libraries, interface definitions, and Java/Scala-based Spark internal components.
- Develop pipeline and workflow orchestration solutions for cloud-based data products.
- Fulfill product enhancement requests and resolve functional or performance deficiencies.
- Remediate code and dependency-chain vulnerabilities and maintain systems compliance.
- Facilitate privacy and security reviews.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in peer code reviews and approvals.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote high-quality coding practices.
Requirements
- College degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience building reusable libraries and interface definitions.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience developing with leading cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience developing Java- and Scala-based Spark components.
- Experience with pipeline or workflow orchestration.
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with build and DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git, Jira, and Terraform.
