Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software applications for space systems and technologies.
- Architect and implement complex software systems using clean, maintainable code and software development best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and contribute to effective software solutions.
- Manage code changes with version control, participate in code reviews, and document configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Mentor and guide other engineers while providing technical leadership and support.
- Stay current with software development and space technology advancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree, or a master’s degree plus 3 years of experience.
- Typically 5+ years of related experience.
- Expertise in one or more programming languages and advanced knowledge of software development principles.
- Ability to design and architect complex software systems.
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, performance profiling, and debugging skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
- Active Top Secret U.S. security clearance with SCI eligibility and a current full-scope polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship required for the active security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes kernel-level programming, cloud-native development, databases, containers, orchestration, secure coding, CI/CD, automated testing, software design patterns, SysML/UML, and static analysis tools.
