Base Salary
$168k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy ML/AI services that Product Engineering teams rely on.
- Design with LLMs and APIs, using them as building blocks in production systems.
- Ship production software with clean, well-structured code and proper testing.
- Partner with product and engineering to translate business problems into ML solutions.
- Evaluate and iterate quickly, making data-driven decisions about model performance.
- Automate workflows and contribute to Checkr's agentic platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience, with 2+ years in ML systems.
- Strong fluency in Python, with a focus on clean and testable code.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs in production systems.
- Experience building and maintaining APIs and working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and NLP tasks in production.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions clearly.
