Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain efficient, reliable, clean, and maintainable backend services for internal users and external clients.
- Build and support high-traffic applications with demanding performance and scalability requirements.
- Work with distributed engineering teams across Poland, Austria, Slovakia, and Norway.
- Design and integrate REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs, microservices, distributed systems, databases, and queue systems.
- Apply testing, TDD, pair programming, code reviews, and software architecture best practices.
- Monitor and improve services using observability and monitoring tools.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, manage work in Jira, and maintain documentation in Confluence.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of backend development experience with PHP or Go.
- Knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL, and queue systems.
- Understanding of Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and New Relic or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience with TDD, pair programming, and GitLab CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or AWS is desirable.
- Experience designing and working on highly scalable systems is desirable.
- JavaScript and React experience is a plus but not required.
