Responsibilities
- Design, implement, optimize, and maintain responsive and accessible web interfaces for real-time broadcast and media monitoring systems.
- Build reusable UI components and patterns for dashboards, alarm views, signal tiles, layouts, and device configuration screens using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Stencil.
- Integrate and extend Perl or Python CGI endpoints into cohesive interface layers.
- Design and execute PostgreSQL queries and collaborate on schemas and migrations for UI features.
- Build web endpoints with Node.js and ExpressJS and configure Nginx web server infrastructure.
- Profile and troubleshoot UI performance, security, and production bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with product management, development engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams on feature delivery.
- Participate in code reviews and support code maintenance, refactoring, architecture improvements, and technical debt reduction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with semantic HTML, modern JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
- Solid TypeScript experience and component-based development with Stencil or similar web component frameworks.
- Proficiency with Node.js and ExpressJS, including middleware, routing, error handling, and web endpoints.
- Ability to read and write Perl or Python CGI scripts, form handlers, and server-rendered templates.
- Practical experience configuring Nginx, including reverse proxying, caching, compression, HTTP/2 or HTTP/3, TLS, and upstreams.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL schemas, indexing, joins, migrations, and performance fundamentals.
- Experience building and running Docker services and composing multi-container environments.
- Familiarity with Playwright or similar testing tools, linting, formatting, and CI systems such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of CSP, CORS, CSRF, XSS mitigation, and production UI profiling and performance optimization.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, clear technical communication, and Agile team collaboration.
- Preferred experience includes SSE or WebSockets, telemetry or alarm visualization, browser video playback, Docker Compose, container networking, Linux administration, REST APIs, operator consoles, tiled layouts, keyboard navigation, multi-monitor workflows, and broadcast or media processing environments.
