Base Salary
$127k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support or own deployments of global products and set up production and internal environments.
- Provide 24/7 first-line engineering support for deployment, availability, and internal operations issues through follow-the-sun teams.
- Drive resolution of core product issues with engineering teams.
- Set up and maintain infrastructure and product reliability monitoring and alerting.
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD tooling and Terraform scripts in collaboration with the DevOps team.
- Maintain operational documentation and establish SRE practices for supported products.
- Optimize system performance and costs, including rightsizing Kubernetes containers.
- Collaborate with globally distributed SRE and engineering teams.
- Lead and mentor engineers on SRE best practices, diagnose technical problems, debug code, and automate routine tasks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or production engineering.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Experience building continuous integration declarative pipelines with Jenkins or CircleCI.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and public clouds such as GCP or AWS.
- Experience deploying and monitoring highly scalable products.
- Hands-on experience with FinOps and autoscaling Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience programming in Python or Go.
- Experience with SRE best practices; observability knowledge is a plus.
- Experience securing systems in public cloud environments.
- Experience with real-time and NoSQL databases such as SingleStore DB, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to lead and mentor engineers, diagnose technical problems, debug code, automate routine tasks, and collaborate with stakeholders in a distributed team.
Benefits
- Approximate annual base compensation range of $127,000 to $196,500.
- Benefits and total compensation are determined based on experience, skills, geography, and internal equity.
- The role collaborates with distributed teams across California, Paris, Nantong, Singapore, Australia, and other locations.
- 24/7 operational coverage is provided through follow-the-sun regional teams.
