Responsibilities
- Develop and implement predictable, automated software deployment strategies across environments.
- Design, implement, and govern monitoring and observability infrastructure for service reliability and performance.
- Define and refine release and reliability engineering processes with cross-functional teams.
- Partner with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
- Track KPIs and SLIs, report progress, and identify reliability improvements.
- Participate in on-call incident response and improve operational responses through automation and training.
- Monitor and improve performance for SQL and NoSQL database systems and support efficient messaging and event processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least five years of experience in release engineering, service reliability engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex software deployments and maintaining highly available systems.
- Strong background with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP and their deployment and monitoring services.
- Proficiency managing automated deployment and monitoring tools, observability practices, logging, metrics, and alerting.
- Experience with messaging and event bus queues, SQL and NoSQL databases, and performance monitoring and improvement.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and/or Groovy.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
