Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable systems for synthetic identities, test data seeding, mocking, load testing, and deterministic validation workflows.
- Evolve testing strategy beyond broad E2E-heavy validation toward component, integration, contract, performance, and targeted E2E testing.
- Build safer, repeatable, and easier-to-operate production-like load-testing capabilities.
- Improve test-platform reliability, observability, adoption, and signal quality while reducing false failures.
- Lead medium-to-large technical projects from problem definition through design, implementation, rollout, and operational ownership.
- Improve operational maturity through dashboards, SLOs, alerts, runbooks, and clear ownership models.
- Reduce manual operational work for load-testing data creation, environment setup, reporting, and failure diagnosis.
- Write maintainable code, review technical designs, provide feedback, contribute to technical planning artifacts, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong backend engineering experience with Python, Kotlin, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems, platform infrastructure, internal developer tools, or testing infrastructure.
- Experience improving reliability, observability, operational maturity, and maintainability.
- Experience with test automation frameworks, test data systems, mocks, contract testing, integration testing, load testing, and CI/CD platforms.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, testing, debugging, reliability, and production operations.
- Experience owning critical internal platforms, including alerting, runbooks, and incident readiness.
- Ability to independently drive ambiguous technical work, collaborate across engineering teams, and influence technical direction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical specifications, RFCs, ADRs, and project plans.
- Ability to balance pragmatic delivery with long-term technical quality and improve developer productivity through scalable systems.
