Base Salary
$198k - $331k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and shape platform strategy to improve developer experience and reliability.
- Drive clarity through ambiguity and create alignment with stakeholders across teams.
- Build AI-augmented tooling and standards for infrastructure development.
- Own Infrastructure-as-Code standards for Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP.
- Evolve CI/CD processes into shared standards for faster and safer deploys.
- Drive observability and set SLOs for the team.
- Lead incident response for complex cross-system issues.
- Identify architectural debt and build strategies to address it.
- Spot high-leverage opportunities and build POCs to de-risk them.
- Mentor engineers and simplify systems to enhance team leverage.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
- Proven track record of leading high-complexity infrastructure initiatives.
- Deep production experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language, preferably Golang or Python.
- Solid command of AWS core services and networking/security fundamentals.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows and the CNCF ecosystem.
- Experience setting technical standards that influence outcomes beyond your own work.
- Curiosity about AI's role in infrastructure work.
- Strong communication skills for varied audiences.
