Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for developer experience and AI tooling across Tatari engineering.
- Evaluate, deploy, and drive adoption of AI coding assistants and agentic development tools, including enablement, best practices, guardrails, and cost management.
- Design and build internal AI-powered agents and automations for CI failure triage, incident response, code review, operational runbooks, and internal bots.
- Improve CI/CD pipeline speed and reliability, build and test infrastructure, local development environments, and deployment workflows.
- Design and implement ephemeral, production-like developer environments across Tatari’s microservice landscape.
- Define and instrument developer productivity and AI tooling adoption metrics to guide prioritization.
- Partner with application engineering, data science, and analytics teams to understand workflows and deliver improvements they will adopt.
- Participate in technical architecture discussions.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in cloud-based infrastructure, platform, or developer tooling roles, with a track record of cross-team tooling or platform adoption for Staff-level candidates.
- Daily hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar tools.
- Experience building with LLM APIs and agentic workflows, including function or tool calling, MCP, prompt design, or agent frameworks.
- Experience owning or significantly improving CI/CD systems, build and test infrastructure, or developer environments with measurable results.
- Strong Python and shell scripting skills.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration such as Kubernetes or Docker.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience running AI tooling rollouts or enablement programs is preferred.
- Experience with LLM evaluation approaches for internal tooling is preferred.
- Experience building ephemeral or preview environments in microservice architectures is preferred.
- Go or Rust experience is preferred.
- Experience with GitHub Actions at scale, build caching, or test parallelization and flake management is preferred.
- Experience managing relational databases and data infrastructure, including Postgres, RDS, or Redshift, is preferred.
