Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain BI-related software and hardware across production, development, and QA environments.
  • Administer BI platforms, including security, patching, capacity, performance optimization, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis.
  • Monitor system and infrastructure health and performance across on-premises and cloud Linux environments.
  • Design and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Build scripting and REST API frameworks for report server upgrades, data-source and report refreshes, and regular backups.
  • Develop enterprise dashboards for BI user tracking, logging, usage monitoring, and reporting.
  • Design and oversee data catalog, data governance, security, compliance, and integration solutions.
  • Coordinate sophisticated technical work across development, business, production, and sustaining teams.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation while supporting continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge and experience with SQL and Linux/Shell.
  • Hands-on experience administering Linux servers, including patching and user access management.
  • Hands-on administration experience with Tableau and MicroStrategy/Strategy reporting tools is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and relational database concepts and technologies.
  • Ability to automate BI platform activities with Python or Shell scripting.
  • Experience building and maintaining Jenkins pipelines and GitHub Actions workflows.
  • Ability to administer bare-metal and cloud-based applications, including user permissions and security.
  • Ability to manage cross-team technical tasks and competing priorities with strong project and time management skills.
  • Strong BI technology and concepts knowledge, written and oral English communication skills, adaptability, and willingness to develop additional expertise.

Benefits

  • Base pay is listed in Canadian dollars at C$102,400–C$136,700, with potential target bonus, restricted stock units, medical and financial benefits, RRSP eligibility, PTO, and parental leave.
