Responsibilities
- Own the overall health, reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence of the CPS DataValidation platform.
- Serve as the primary engineering escalation point for production incidents and business-critical issues.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident remediation.
- Drive improvements in observability, monitoring, alerting, SLAs, KPIs, and platform health metrics.
- Define and execute the platform’s technical strategy and roadmap across on-premise and Azure-based systems.
- Review system designs, provide technical guidance, manage technical debt, and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Act as engineering lead for strategic OmniShopper initiatives and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Coordinate execution, risks, dependencies, prioritization, and stakeholder communications across engineering and business teams.
- Collaborate with Data Science, PMO, Operations, Product Leadership, and global Engineering teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years in Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Architect, or equivalent technical leadership roles.
- Experience owning mission-critical production systems and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Proven ability to influence multiple organizations and stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, Oracle Database, Linux environments, SQL performance tuning, Azure Data Services, PySpark, Parquet datasets, ETL and data engineering frameworks, and data quality or validation platforms.
- Experience leading complex incident resolution efforts and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred experience in retail measurement, consumer panels, syndicated data, OmniShopper, Homescan, consumer analytics, Data Science, advanced analytics, modern data quality, governance, or observability frameworks.
