Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the Python-based Snowflake Control Plane.
  • Enable Snowflake features with governance controls, access policies, compliance guardrails, and secure AI capabilities.
  • Implement OAuth/SSO, JWT validation, RBAC, secret management, credential lifecycle automation, rate limiting, input sanitization, and security headers.
  • Build self-service onboarding, resource-provisioning, and platform-management workflows.
  • Operate and improve CI/CD pipelines with progressive deployment, security scanning, and code-quality gates.
  • Contribute to platform observability, monitoring, documentation, and enterprise security compliance.
  • Lead architectural decisions, present technical trade-offs, mentor junior engineers and co-op students, and participate in agile ceremonies.

Requirements

  • Expert proficiency in Python 3.11+, FastAPI, Pydantic v2, async/await, and production-grade API development.
  • Strong Snowflake knowledge including architecture, roles, databases, schemas, warehouses, stages, storage integrations, failover groups, replication, AI Suite, OAuth, key-pair authentication, and network policies.
  • Hands-on AWS and Azure experience covering IAM, networking, storage, secret management, and multi-cloud delivery.
  • Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT validation, RBAC, secret management, and enterprise security patterns.
  • Understanding of responsible AI, model risk management, AI auditing, OSFI requirements, and NIST AI RMF.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools, Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes, progressive delivery, SAST, SCA, and DAST.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in platform engineering, data engineering, cloud engineering, or SRE roles.
  • At least 3 years working with Snowflake or comparable enterprise data platforms at scale.
  • Experience in regulated environments and demonstrated ability to drive architecture, influence stakeholders, communicate effectively, and deliver complex initiatives.
  • Preferred qualifications include Snowflake Cortex AI, SnowPro certifications, workflow orchestration, observability platforms, infrastructure as code, API design, financial-services regulation, and LLM/GenAI security experience.
