Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and implement mission-critical software for the Market Data Intelligence platform.
- Build and maintain real-time and historical data services and statistical functions for market-data analytics.
- Enhance KDB+/q functionality for server-side and client-side capital-markets applications.
- Develop analytical libraries and add new features to broaden the platform’s capabilities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and team members to determine client requirements and software best practices.
- Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and regularly update software before and after formal launches.
- Improve business software processes and interactions.
- Coach and train team members in the use of software applications.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience building mission-critical software applications.
- At least 2 years of strong hands-on experience with KDB+/q.
- Experience performing analytics on very large datasets, particularly time-series market and transaction data.
- Good understanding of capital-markets products, including reference and transaction data, equities, and other trading products.
- Experience with market-data products such as NYSE TAQ, TRTH, Bloomberg, or Exegy.
- Working knowledge of Linux environments and scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Jira, and Docker.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Nice-to-have experience with database applications and SQL.
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Windsurf is desirable.
- Working knowledge of C++ or Java is a plus.
- Understanding of global markets, algorithmic trading stacks, pre- and post-trade analytics, machine learning, pattern recognition, and build and deployment management is advantageous.
