Responsibilities
- Operate production environments by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.
- Build tools for managing platform infrastructure and applications.
- Debug production issues across services and stack levels while providing primary operational support for distributed applications.
- Create and improve application health monitoring, alerting, centralized logging, and observability tooling.
- Measure and optimize system performance, analyze operating-system and application metrics, and support performance tuning and fault finding.
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, capacity planning, and service-level objective definition.
- Develop automation and sustainable systems while balancing delivery speed with reliability.
Requirements
- Require 4–6 years of support experience with OpenShift, Azure, and Kubernetes.
- Require 4–5 years of experience as an SRE supporting multiple applications.
- Require strong programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
- Require operational experience with Oracle and SQL databases in cloud or on-premise environments, including writing or understanding database queries and object-oriented design and development.
- Require knowledge of networking areas such as certificates and load balancers, along with monitoring using Splunk, Dynatrace, RUM, Grafana, and related tools.
- Require experience with monitoring, centralized logging, alerting, microservices, public cloud, and container technologies.
- Prefer exposure to OCP and GitHub, knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS, private cloud platforms, multi-cloud or hybrid application environments, Docker, Kubernetes, and mainframes and JCL.
