Responsibilities
- Own and drive the technical strategy for foundational Android components and hybrid frameworks.
- Architect and build robust WebView infrastructure for seamless integration between React and native Android.
- Lead performance optimization efforts for platform components used by millions of daily active users.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Android engineers across multiple product teams.
- Drive cross-organizational architectural decisions balancing developer velocity and app performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain development standards for hybrid applications.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional Android development experience.
- Mastery in Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and Android architecture components.
- Experience building and shipping production Android applications to the Google Play Store.
- Track record of leading major architectural initiatives or platform-level projects.
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar across teams.
- Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools to accelerate development.
