Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java-based microservices and React micro-frontends using Spring Boot, Quarkus, and related frameworks.
- Lead solution architecture, technical design, delivery, and cloud modernization initiatives.
- Build, deploy, troubleshoot, and operate containerized applications in production environments.
- Use Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment tooling to support scalable delivery.
- Apply microservice, micro-frontend, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps, and software design practices.
- Work with product and engineering leads to define strategies and target cloud architectures.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, coaching, code reviews, and guidance to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with enterprise, security, data, and infrastructure architects on customer and business outcomes.
- Support architectural governance, risk management, compliance, releases, deployments, and production troubleshooting.
- Develop integrations using REST, SOAP, JMS, MQ, and Kafka-based messaging frameworks.
Requirements
- 9+ years of relevant experience designing, developing, and architecting complex software solutions.
- 8+ years of hands-on end-to-end software development experience.
- 6+ years designing and developing microservices and micro-frontends.
- 6+ years of experience in large financial services organizations, preferably banking.
- 4+ years of application design experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud, Azure Cloud, AWS, or a comparable cloud service provider.
- Strong Java and J2EE development experience with Spring Boot, Spring Boot Reactive programming, and/or Quarkus.
- Experience with ReactJS, Redux, Webpack, modern JavaScript libraries, and test automation.
- Experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases, REST and SOAP APIs, Kafka, JMS, and MQ.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and production operations.
- Experience with Git workflows, testing, debugging, releases, deployments, and DevOps toolchains.
- Experience with tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Google Cloud Logging, Curl, and Postman.
- Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, mentoring, independent working, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Terraform, Istio, TOGAF, ArchiMate, software patterns, architectural governance, risk management, and compliance is preferred.
