Base Salary
$170k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write and review architectural plans and participate hands-on in implementation across multiple engineering teams.
- Set technical direction for shared systems and AI infrastructure supporting Thomas’s transition to AI-assisted sourcing.
- Guide technology adoption, innovation, and AI integration across the platform.
- Mentor engineers across the organization and promote effective code-review practices.
- Deliver reliable, high-quality software aligned with customer expectations and business timelines.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and leadership on technical and product strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience with a record of owning outcomes, setting cross-team technical direction, mentoring engineers, and influencing product and business decisions.
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with backend services, frontend applications, databases, analytical data stores, and search systems at production scale.
- Hands-on experience building AI products using LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, or embedding models.
- Experience or depth in multimodal embeddings and search, agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain, model fine-tuning and adaptation, and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in an AI-native development environment.
- Marketplace or multi-sided platform experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
