Responsibilities

  • Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology activities, application development, and model development.
  • Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet business and user-area needs.
  • Monitor and control application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
  • Provide user and operational support, consult with clients and technology groups, and recommend advanced programming solutions.
  • Develop post-implementation security measures and evaluate business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
  • Build and troubleshoot multithreaded applications and tune the performance of large, high-volume technical solutions.
  • Define operating standards and processes, follow required procedures, and coach new or lower-level analysts.
  • Assess and escalate technology, compliance, control, and operational risks appropriately.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated software development expertise and experience with systems analysis and application programming.
  • Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, application servers, JMS, MQ, and Kafka applications.
  • Experience building multithreaded applications and troubleshooting complex related issues.
  • Experience working across Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience tuning the performance of large technical solutions handling significant volumes.
  • Ability to work with limited direct supervision and exercise independent judgment and autonomy.
