Responsibilities
- Modernize existing systems and develop new backend services using modern Java and frameworks.
- Solve technical challenges involving performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Write clean, high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with teammates to improve engineering practices and share knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of high-performance distributed backend systems for Playtech Open Platform.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of modern Java, including multithreading and concurrency; Java 21/25 is preferred.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving techniques.
- General understanding of distributed systems and backend application design.
- General understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, Git, and Docker.
- Commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and debugging performance issues is an advantage.
