Responsibilities
- Own the overall software architecture, including system boundaries, module decomposition, service contracts, data models, and integration patterns.
- Lead cloud infrastructure architecture covering networking, container orchestration, observability, deployment pipelines, reliability, and scalability.
- Evaluate technical alternatives, establish architectural principles, and document Architecture Decision Records.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding and quality standards, and promote engineering excellence.
- Mentor junior developers through technical coaching, career guidance, and pair programming.
- Define standards for code quality, testing, API design, security, performance, and operational requirements.
- Design and implement automated build, test, and deployment pipelines and promote infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Define and monitor SLAs and SLOs for availability, performance, scalability, security, and operability.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to align technical roadmaps with business goals.
- Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, post-mortems, and architectural improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
- Hands-on experience with multiple programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, C#, and TypeScript.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes and Docker; and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns, microservices, event-driven and serverless architectures, and REST, gRPC, and GraphQL API design.
- Strong understanding of networking, load balancing, service mesh, observability, disaster recovery, and infrastructure architecture.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency with build systems including Maven, Gradle, CMake, npm, and Go modules.
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance, unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, and test automation.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, message queues, and caching strategies.
- Familiarity with OAuth2, mTLS, secrets management, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven mentoring ability and strong communication, presentation, documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English and required Chinese; German or other languages are a plus.
