Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented software following engineering best practices.
  • Design and implement scalable solutions for complex and ambiguous technical requirements.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and operational support.
  • Build scalable interfaces and customer-facing features for EC2 Capacity Reservations in collaboration with EC2 and AWS teams.
  • Troubleshoot defects, participate in code reviews, and contribute to on-call rotations and operational excellence.
  • Engage with product managers, application security engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and build secure features.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

  • The position is based in Seattle, Washington, with a stated annual base salary range of $143,700.00 to $194,400.00; sign-on payments and RSUs may also be included.
