Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed with stream-aligned teams to build capabilities in observability, CI/CD, and security.
- Coach teams on instrumenting code with logs, metrics, and traces.
- Guide teams in designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Teach teams to integrate security scanning into pipelines and perform threat modeling.
- Identify and remove operational bottlenecks to reduce lead time and vulnerability remediation time.
- Develop reusable templates and documentation for pipelines and security controls.
- Measure and track team progress on DORA metrics and observability maturity.
- Collaborate with the Subsystems Platform Team to create scalable, self-service platform capabilities.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing through workshops and documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Strong expertise in application observability tools like New Relic or Datadog.
- Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of application security practices including SAST and DAST.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Understanding of SLO/SLI definitions and reliability engineering principles.
- Proven ability to coach and mentor engineering teams with strong communication skills.
- Consultative mindset with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
- Passion for continuous improvement and establishing team self-sufficiency.
