Responsibilities
- Build software services and platforms that improve experiences for internal and external Stripe teams.
- Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.
- Deliver projects collaboratively with customers and stakeholders across Stripe.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Design, build, test, and ship code across varying technologies and stacks.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of industry software engineering experience, excluding internships and co-ops.
- Ability to write well-factored algorithms and apply commonly used data structures and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience contributing to or building large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong coding skills in any programming language.
- Ability to collaborate across workstreams and contribute to peers’ success.
- Ability to work with high autonomy and responsibility in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks.
- Preferred: experience optimizing end-to-end distributed-system performance.
- Preferred: experience leading projects.
- Preferred: focus on internal and external user needs and maintaining a high quality bar in production.
