Base Salary

$100k - $149k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and design robust power-management software for processors and SoC subsystems.
  • Analyze existing software and recommend improvements to performance, memory use, power utilization, algorithms, and software/hardware partitioning.
  • Develop tools for silicon profiling, validation, and debugging across SoC components.
  • Participate in pre-silicon evaluations and sign-offs.
  • Identify opportunities for hardware acceleration and provide recommendations to hardware teams.
  • Collaborate with system, power, software, and hardware engineers across the product lifecycle from pre-silicon through commercialization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of academic or industry experience.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, preferably ARM architecture, and real-time operating systems.
  • Experience with C/ASM programming and debugging real-time embedded systems using JTAG or an equivalent tool.
  • Knowledge of compilers/linkers, Python scripting, embedded software, and machine learning.
  • Ability to read hardware programming guides and write drivers or software based on them.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Perforce or Git.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and technical skills.
