Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and debug system and IP validation frameworks for bare-metal and lightweight-RTOS environments.
  • Ensure SVE infrastructure supports validation goals across current Snapdragon SoC architectures and features.
  • Collaborate with IP validation, design, design verification, and software teams to investigate complex issues.
  • Enable validation infrastructure on emulation and post-silicon platforms.
  • Develop framework test flows for ATE and MBIST production-screening processes.
  • Support hardware/software bring-up, debugging, and validation across global teams.น

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on silicon validation and embedded software development experience is required for the primary role description.
  • Minimum qualifications also accept a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related ASIC experience, a master’s degree with 1+ year, or a PhD in a related field.
  • Proficiency in C and C++, with familiarity with assembly, VHDL, Verilog, Python, or Perl.
  • Knowledge of ARMv8, ARMv9, x86, RISC-V, interrupt handling, cache and I/O coherency, SMP and heterogeneous cores, and SoC architectures.
  • Experience with memory management, memory ordering, memory barriers, software toolchains, compilers, linkers, and scatter files.
  • Hands-on bootloader development and debugging, code optimization, linker issue resolution, JTAG debugging, and hardware analysis experience are preferred.
  • Knowledge of RTOS, Linux kernel internals, multithreading, scheduling, locking, virtual memory, MMU concepts, and SoC architecture is desired.
  • Experience with FPGA or emulation bring-up, fresh SoC designs, Jenkins-based build automation, regression testing, and automated test suites is desired.
  • Ability to debug low-level hardware/software issues systematically and use logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG, and Lauterbach Trace32.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
