Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs.
- Analyze applications and code to identify enhancements, vulnerabilities, security issues, and defects.
- Design, install, release, implement, and support application systems through production.
- Perform testing, debugging, post-release checks, and infrastructure-update validation.
- Provide application support, resolve user and stakeholder issues, and coordinate short-term solutions and long-term remediation.
- Participate in disaster-recovery evaluations and application-support projects focused on stability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain technical support documentation.
- Cooperate with development colleagues to prioritize bug fixes and support equipment requirements.
- Advise or coach lower-level analysts and act as a subject-matter expert for team members and stakeholders.
- Assess risk, maintain compliance, and escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience in data development and analysis, including data acquisition and creation of rule-ready datasets.
- The English qualifications section requests 2–5 years of relevant experience in financial services and applications development.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience managing Oracle databases.
- Experience with Jenkins and Maven build and deployment management.
- Experience scheduling batch jobs with Autosys JIL.
- Experience developing ETL processes with Ab Initio, including GDE, EME, and Express>It.
- Desired experience with object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of application-support procedures, technical areas, process improvement, procedure standardization, regulatory reporting, financial products, and problem-management tools.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication, problem-solving, decision-making, customer-service, interpersonal, planning, organization, and stakeholder-communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and changing requirements, evaluate complex situations using multiple information sources, and work effectively across technology teams.
