Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable software applications and services.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into maintainable code, components, APIs, integrations, and technical solutions.
- Improve existing applications’ functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Provide technical guidance, perform code reviews, promote engineering standards, and mentor other developers.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive sustainable resolutions.
- Contribute to automated build, testing, integration, deployment, source-control, observability, and production-support practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, QA, security, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
- Evaluate technical options, communicate trade-offs and risks, break down complex work, and support estimation, planning, and agile delivery activities.
Requirements
- Professional software development experience with demonstrated ownership of complex applications or services.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and its development ecosystem.
- Experience with application architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Understanding of software design principles, security, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative software delivery environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience providing technical guidance, code reviews, knowledge sharing, or mentoring to other developers.
- Preferred: experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, microservices, containerized applications, DevOps, infrastructure automation, observability, production support, modernization, system integrations, enterprise applications, or high-availability environments.
- Preferred: ability to evaluate emerging technologies and assess their practical value for business and engineering needs.
