Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and deliver scalable, resilient, secure cloud-native applications.
- Own architecture decisions across applications and infrastructure.
- Lead large-scale modernization from monolithic systems to cloud-native, containerized, service-oriented architectures.
- Establish engineering standards, reference architectures, and maintainability and operational excellence practices.
- Drive reliability through metrics, logging, tracing, capacity planning, monitoring, and SRE practices.
- Implement secure-by-design architectures using identity management, encryption, secrets management, threat modeling, compliance controls, and zero-trust principles.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with product, architecture, engineering, and cross-functional partners.
- Lead production incident reviews, root-cause analysis, resiliency improvements, and operational readiness programs.
- Evaluate technologies and trends and recommend improvements to scalability, productivity, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Develop microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
Requirements
- 13+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments.
- Significant hands-on experience with Java, Go, or .NET; RESTful APIs; event-driven architectures; and cloud-native platforms.
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS compute, networking, caching, storage, messaging, container orchestration, observability, and security services.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL, including high availability, performance tuning, query optimization, partitioning, and replication.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CI/CD automation, GitOps workflows, and platform engineering practices.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability, fault tolerance, consistency models, concurrency, caching, asynchronous processing, and Kafka.
- Good frontend engineering experience using React.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
