Responsibilities
- Contribute to the C++ runtime that powers LM Studio.
- Extend LLM engine integrations and build platform-aware performance features.
- Implement resilient IPC, resource management, and scheduling logic.
- Improve build, packaging, and release infrastructure for native components.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver cohesive user experiences.
Requirements
- 4+ years building production C++ systems software across macOS or Linux.
- Strong understanding of performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Experience designing ergonomic and maintainable internal and external APIs.
- Proficiency in C++11 (or newer) with a focus on RAII and modern libraries.
- Deep knowledge of concurrency, memory management, file systems, and network protocols.
- Experience optimizing performance using profilers, tracing, and hardware counters.
