Base Salary
$160k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deploy and support service infrastructure in Kubernetes.
- Identify and build the right tools and technologies for major initiatives.
- Assist other teams in designing robust and scalable systems.
- Scale and optimize multiple databases.
- Build internal tooling to accelerate developer velocity.
- Provide observability and monitoring across systems.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation for production issues.
Requirements
- Located in the New York tri-state area.
- 6+ years of experience as a backend or infrastructure engineer.
- Ability to design and build scalable, reliable systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Hands-on builder mentality with coding experience.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
- Experience with streaming systems and message queues.
- Knowledge of monitoring systems like DataDog and Grafana.
- Experience with CI/CD and Git.
- Bonus skills include Kubernetes, Knative, and ClickHouse.
