Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, ship, and maintain backend services using Node.js, Socket.IO, AWS Amplify, and DynamoDB.
- Develop frontend functionality with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Design and integrate APIs using REST and GraphQL.
- Develop expertise in selected areas while contributing across the codebase as needed.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
- Translate high-level product requirements into parallelizable, incrementally releasable tasks.
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term investments in efficiency, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience on a full-stack engineering team building and maintaining production-grade services.
- Professional TypeScript experience, including API development, backend service design, and system integration.
- Experience building user interfaces with reusable, composable components and predictable state management.
- Ability to optimize database performance through schema design, query tuning, and indexing strategies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate technical tradeoffs in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
- Experience with AWS Amplify is preferred.
- Familiarity with Electron and cross-platform desktop or mobile application development is preferred.
- Experience integrating with LangChain or other LLM orchestration frameworks is preferred.
- Voice technology and AI-driven application experience is preferred.
- Startup experience, product intuition, curiosity about emerging interfaces, and the ability to scope, prioritize, and execute independently are preferred.
