Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and operation of scalable, secure shared frontend infrastructure for a cloud-native platform.
- Set technical direction for frontend architecture, shared frameworks, design-system integration, and Micro Frontend strategies.
- Develop shared frontend infrastructure and design-system components using React, TypeScript, and PrimeReact.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, and establish engineering standards through reviews, patterns, coaching, and documentation.
- Drive accessibility, frontend performance, test automation, maintainability, CI/CD workflow evolution, and component versioning.
- Own service reliability efforts, on-call practices, incident response, resolution, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Staff and Principal Engineers, product, UX, and engineering leadership on system design and technical vision.
- Lead initiatives involving AI-enhanced UI/UX, including smart component behavior, generative layouts, and adaptive interfaces.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional frontend development experience building and operating cloud-native systems.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
- Proven ability to set technical direction and lead teams effectively.
- Hands-on experience designing and building distributed, multi-tenant systems.
- Experience owning CI/CD, observability, and service reliability.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React, with deep experience building shared design systems and Micro Frontend or modular UI architectures.
- Strong command of semantic HTML, modern CSS, SASS or LESS, responsive design, WCAG accessibility standards, frontend performance profiling, and cross-browser testing.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, bundlers such as Vite and Webpack, testing frameworks, and RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Preferred qualifications include people-lead or technical-lead experience, work in regulated or large-scale environments, and experience in global or distributed organizations.
- Preferred familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, .NET, Node.js, Python, Figma, and AI-driven UI/UX such as chatbots, recommendations, personalization, or adaptive layouts.
