Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines for web and mobile products.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operations using infrastructure-as-code and scripting.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and release automation workflows.
- Monitor system health, performance, availability, and observability data, and resolve operational issues.
- Implement access control, secrets management, vulnerability management, and secure deployment practices.
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, disaster recovery, and resilience improvements.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to improve development workflows and reliable releases.
- Review architecture and operational processes for scalability, maintainability, governance, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and technical standards.
- Drive adoption of DevOps, observability, and reliability practices across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience leading or guiding small engineering teams, projects, or technical initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services, including ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, Aurora, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and networking or security components.
- Proficiency with Docker and container-based deployments.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release automation workflows using GitLab and Jira.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, configuration management, system reliability, observability, monitoring, alerting, and logging.
- Sufficient understanding of React, Node.js, and React Native to collaborate effectively with development teams.
- Familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL database operations and administration.
- Understanding of authentication, middleware, application security, API integrations, system connectivity, cloud computing, software design patterns, and secure system design.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Singapore whole-of-government systems, regulated environments, platform governance, compliance, disaster recovery, backup strategies, business continuity, production support, stakeholder management, and cross-team coordination.
