Responsibilities

Lead or support multiple hardware sizing projects and ensure their successful completion.
Provide hardware sizing recommendations tailored to business requirements and solution architecture.
Manage the sizing request queue and maintain accurate, consistent output using current methodologies.
Collaborate with SAS teams, R&D experts, platform partners, account teams, and field consultants to validate benchmarks and sizing recommendations.
Support sales and pre-sales efforts with expert guidance on sizing and performance through calls, chats, and email.
Troubleshoot performance issues across hardware, operating systems, applications, and network layers.
Contribute to sizing-program planning, stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, and team success.

Experience with Linux and Windows Server system administration.
Knowledge of SAN, NAS, NFS, FCoE, Fibre Channel, CIFS, and JBOD storage systems and protocols.
Working knowledge of CPUs, chipsets, NUMA, cache, pipelining, CPU affinity, and physical and virtual computing.
Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, including instance types, networking, VM scale sets, placement groups, and storage solutions.
Experience supporting and maintaining multi-tier application environments.
Experience with Dell and HPE hardware systems, particularly performance and storage.
Experience with Kubernetes on cloud platforms, preferably Azure AKS, as well as AWS, GCP, OpenShift, and open source platforms.
Understanding of RAID, SAN, NFS, ANF, I/O throughput, latency, bandwidth, packet loss, and network limitations.
Ability to analyze the relationship between hardware architecture and workload demands for capacity planning and software efficiency.
Ability to lead or support complex projects and provide expert technical guidance to sales and pre-sales teams.
