Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize ultra-low-latency C++ systems for processing equity exchange data.
- Implement high-performance market-data algorithms focused on minimizing latency and maximizing throughput.
- Process order books, trades, options, symbology, and multiple market-data structures in real time.
- Integrate exchange protocols, downstream trading systems, Bloomberg APIs, and internal analytics.
- Develop analytics including VWAP and aggregated volume calculations.
- Contribute across development, testing, documentation, support, architecture, code reviews, and the broader SDLC.
- Collaborate with global technology, product, QA, support, and stakeholder teams across London, New York, Tokyo, and Mumbai.
- Own deliveries, establish software-delivery best practices, and mentor team members in India.
Requirements
- Strong market-data or trading-systems domain expertise, including equities, options, symbology processing, and multiple asset classes.
- Extensive experience developing ultra-low-latency systems with C++ 11/17.
- Experience with exchange connectivity, market-data feed handlers, high-availability systems, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, multicast, multithreading, IPC, shared memory, distributed shared memory, and lockless queues.
- Experience with ITCH, SBE, and Tag/Value exchange protocols.
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, and Google Test harnesses.
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on performance optimization and latency reduction.
- Strong communication, leadership, initiative, and ownership skills.
- Python programming experience is desired.
- Familiarity with FPGA configuration and processing for market-data systems is desired.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg API integration and trading systems is desired.
