Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance Appian applications for the Army Contract Writing System.
- Configure Appian interfaces, process models, rules, expressions, records, data types, reports, dashboards, and integrations.
- Develop integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, Web APIs, SFTP, HTTPS, and other approved methods.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions supporting Appian applications.
- Support deployments, environment promotion, configuration, troubleshooting, and production releases.
- Collaborate with solution architects, functional SMEs, QA personnel, DevSecOps engineers, database administrators, government stakeholders, and contractors.
- Conduct design reviews, prototype reviews, demonstrations, working sessions, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot application defects, integration issues, performance problems, and data discrepancies through resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation, user guides, training materials, and support documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support modernization, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of Appian development experience.
- Proficiency with Appian SAIL, process modeling, data modeling, integrations, rules and expressions, records, and data types.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications on the Appian Platform.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, RESTful APIs, web services, or similar integrations.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Appian Associate Developer, Senior Developer, or Lead Developer certification; Appian Cloud or Appian Government Acquisition Management experience; federal acquisition or DoD contract-writing experience; Appian plug-in, Java/JEE, Spring, identity technology, enterprise integration, accessibility, and secure software development experience.

- Remote position located in the United States.
- Target base salary range is $101,144 to $174,591.
- Final compensation depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and security clearances.
