Responsibilities
- Orchestrate Databricks Jobs production pipelines, including task dependencies and failure-mode handling.
- Configure and maintain Databricks Asset Bundles deployments across development, QA, and production environments and countries.
- Manage model and artifact registration, versioning, Champion/Challenger aliases, and rollback using MLflow and Unity Catalog.
- Manage compute across workspaces, standardize FinOps cost-monitoring tags, and integrate observability capabilities.
- Diagnose runtime incidents, maintain production pipeline health, and coordinate with development squads and platform teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience orchestrating data and machine learning pipelines on Databricks, including Jobs, Workflows, and cluster policies.
- Advanced Python and SQL skills and experience with Delta and Unity Catalog.
- Solid CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, Git workflows, pull requests, and infrastructure as code with Databricks Asset Bundles.
- Experience with code quality tools and standards including black, isort, and mypy.
- Preferred experience with multi-country schemas, drift and cost monitoring, deployment automation, or AI agent and agentic infrastructure such as Mosaic AI Agent Framework, agent orchestration, and MCP.
- Currently based in Mexico or a similar time zone is preferred for overlap with Mexico working hours.
