Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of modern full-stack applications supporting sanctions screening and payment compliance workflows.
  • Build scalable, real-time solutions that process high transaction volumes with high availability and low latency.
  • Develop microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures integrating with enterprise payments and screening platforms.
  • Drive cloud-native modernization, containerization, automation, and platform observability initiatives.
  • Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
  • Partner with Compliance, Financial Crimes, Product Management, Operations, and Architecture teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews and influence strategic technology decisions.
  • Deliver solutions that meet sanctions compliance and financial crime prevention obligations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and system resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5–9 years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack development expertise.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript or TypeScript, and React or Angular; Python is preferred.
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or NoSQL database platforms.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
