Responsibilities
- Participate in the technical design, development, and implementation of application systems.
- Design and code programs, create test transactions, and document installation and operating procedures.
- Integrate software components into fully functional software systems.
- Participate in code reviews, deployment processes, ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements.
- Apply security and privacy principles and follow change controls.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to deliver solutions.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and help apply engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building software with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted coding tools and integration of AI features with responsible-use practices.
- Working knowledge of RDBMS technology and secure, performant data access in services.
- Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability.
- Strong knowledge of J2EE frameworks, web services, and SQL databases including MySQL, Oracle, or Sybase.
- Familiarity with Apache, WebSphere, or Tomcat application servers.
- Understanding of the SDLC, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Preferred experience with Angular, NodeJS, Oracle, ElasticSearch, Kafka, and IBM MQ.
