Responsibilities
- Design and implement technical solutions for Verkada’s internal business systems.
- Build improvements to systems that support global transactions and shipping.
- Improve observability, reliability, and data correctness.
- Propose system improvements based on customer empathy.
- Lead projects from ideation through release.
- Help and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on distributed systems at scale.
- Have shipped customer-facing products or internal tools.
- Bring in-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing.
- Have AWS Cloud experience with Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, and EC2.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Show a passion for observability and reliability.
- Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or eCommerce platforms is a bonus.
