Responsibilities
- Manage application environments across Development, Test, Acceptance, and Production.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tooling.
- Automate deployments, configuration, operational checks, monitoring setup, environment provisioning, and repetitive operational tasks.
- Support the platform’s APIs, backend services, and integrations with Wholesale Banking systems.
- Define technical requirements and production-readiness criteria with backend, frontend, product, architecture, and technical leadership colleagues.
- Address security, resilience, stability, performance, and observability throughout the application lifecycle.
- Manage platform components including operating systems, middleware, databases, certificates, access configuration, vulnerability analysis, and patching.
- Improve monitoring and alerting, support High Availability and Disaster Recovery preparation, and contribute to IT Risk and security controls.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and deliver durable operational and technical improvements with appropriate handover and documentation.
- Assist with technical specifications, requirement analysis, change requests, user stories, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, Operations Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a similar role.
- Experience managing application environments and supporting software delivery pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Hands-on experience with at least one virtualization or containerization technology, such as VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Red Hat operating systems, Azure DevOps, CI/CD tooling, and source-control workflows.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Log4all.
- Scripting and automation experience using Python, Shell, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with Git, Sonar, Checkmarx, Artifactory, or similar tools.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, application security, certificates, TLS, access management, vulnerability management, patching, and secrets handling.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills, with advanced spoken and written English.
- Experience with Oracle or other enterprise databases, High Availability and Disaster Recovery, banking or regulated environments, security and IT Risk, IAM, One Identity, Active Directory, performance testing, security testing, or automated regression checks is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in an IT-related field.
