Responsibilities
- Lead UI architecture and design decisions for web and responsive applications.
- Define UI standards, best practices, reusable component libraries, and enterprise design systems.
- Review code, enforce quality standards, mentor UI developers, and guide adoption of modern UI frameworks.
- Design and develop complex, scalable, responsive single-page applications and reusable UI components.
- Integrate user interfaces with backend services and optimize performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Translate UX/UI wireframes and prototypes into high-quality implementations in collaboration with designers.
- Work with backend engineers, architects, and DevOps teams and participate in planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG/ADA accessibility standards and support unit, integration, and UI automation testing.
- Write, test, deploy, document, maintain, and debug software solutions.
Requirements
- Multiple years of UI or frontend development experience and 2+ years in a technical lead or senior UI role.
- Strong expertise with HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular, React, or Vue.
- Experience building single-page applications, responsive and mobile-first interfaces, and consuming RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise design systems, component libraries, WCAG 2.x, microservices architectures, UI testing frameworks, AWS or Azure, and financial services or regulated-industry experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, analytical, consensus-building, and technical-direction skills.
- A bachelor's degree is listed; roles at this level typically require 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience, with comparable education, job-specific certifications, and experience potentially considered in lieu of a degree.
