Responsibilities
- Build and operate scalable data platform solutions that enable fast, iterative analytics.
- Understand business challenges, break them down, and deliver pragmatic technical solutions.
- Own areas of the data platform and proactively drive work from context gathering through delivery.
- Work with product, analytics, and engineering teams to align stakeholders and ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain strong foundations for platform reliability, cost efficiency, and security.
- Make pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions and improve ways of working, including the use of AI tooling.
Requirements
- Strong programming ability in Python or a similar language.
- Strong experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouses.
- Good understanding of software engineering patterns and architectures.
- Experience building data-intensive systems.
- Cloud experience, preferably with AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform.
- Understanding of CI/CD best practices and modern data architectures such as Lambda and Kappa.
- Ability to take ownership, solve problems, work through ambiguity, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, and manage multiple workstreams.
