Base Salary
$150k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead code and design reviews, establish development standards, and guide strategic product decisions.
- Design, code, debug, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications and reusable libraries.
- Own multiple product features end to end and improve legacy applications, development tools, test coverage, and code structure.
- Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Kubernetes and support applications running on Amazon Web Services.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Develop unit, UI automation, and integration tests and apply REST API best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide training and technical support to internal teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, system administration, customers, and vendors.
- Lead adoption of AI-driven engineering practices, including code modernization, specification-driven development, and agentic workflows.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of related software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
- Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or C# and proven full-stack development experience.
- Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications and applications using Kubernetes.
- Advanced experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, system performance optimization, and production monitoring.
- Deep understanding and practical application of REST API best practices, including security, scalability, and performance.
- Advanced experience developing unit, UI automation, and integration tests.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and participation in an on-call rotation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, communicate effectively, solve problems independently, and deliver value within an agile framework.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field; SaaS experience in technology or financial industries; Amazon Web Services experience with Kubernetes; and cross-platform mobile development experience with Flutter.
