Base Salary
$161k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize motion planning algorithms for autonomous trucks.
- Develop planning solutions using graph search, sampling-based planning, and optimization techniques.
- Incorporate vehicle kinematic and dynamic constraints into planning systems.
- Develop production-quality software in modern C++ within a Linux environment.
- Participate in software architecture discussions and contribute to technical designs.
- Develop and execute validation strategies across various testing environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop safe autonomous driving behaviors.
- Investigate and debug vehicle behavior issues in simulation.
- Support vehicle integration and post-deployment investigations.
- Mentor junior engineers through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's with 3+ years, or a PhD with 1+ year.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ development within Linux environments.
- Experience in developing robotics or autonomous vehicle software systems.
- Strong background in motion planning, trajectory generation, and optimization.
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics and planning system architecture.
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, numerical optimization, and robotics algorithms.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
