Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive adoption, governance, and validation standards for approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
- Use Software Development Life Cycle tooling, automation, and approved AI-assisted development capabilities to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
- Coach senior engineers and leads on responsible, secure, and compliant AI-assisted development patterns.
Requirements
- Proven expertise building large-scale, high-throughput applications.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and cloud-native applications.
- Proficiency in distributed systems and parallel processing.
- Experience with performance analysis and tuning, including Java-based profiling and monitoring tools.
- Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Preferred experience with Kafka Streams, event-driven architecture, microservices architecture, behavior-driven design, Kubernetes, APIGEE Gateway, cloud services, agentic workflows, production agentic AI, and the modern AI toolchain.
