Responsibilities
- Work across platforms and collaborate with support and development teams.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction.
- Maintain platform integrations with other systems.
- Communicate regularly with the Product Owner and agile pod for product and project support.
- Guide junior team members in development and delivery.
- Support production releases, conduct peer reviews, implement CI/CD pipelines, and monitor services.
- Build and deploy production-level data processing batch systems.
- Participate in shift work and on-call support.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of software development experience in data analysis or big data projects.
- Strong Scala programming skills and experience with Spark 2 or Spark 3 applications and Spark SQL.
- Understanding of CDP 7.1, HDFS filesystems, Unix, Unix shell scripting, Airflow, and Elasticsearch.
- Understanding of DevOps concepts and platforms.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and perform corresponding system design.
- Expertise building and deploying production-level data processing batch systems maintained by application support teams.
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, work at pace, and collaborate effectively.
- Quantexa certification and work experience are preferred.
- Understanding of cloud platforms is optional.
