Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Lead MongoDB schema design, data modeling, aggregation, sharding, replication, Atlas usage, query optimization, and indexing.
- Develop and maintain secure, high-performance RESTful APIs for internal and external data exchange.
- Deploy and manage data workloads on IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP using managed compute and storage services.
- Analyze system bottlenecks and implement performance improvements across the data stack.
- Conduct code reviews and implement automated testing with JUnit and Mockito.
- Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, onshore stakeholders, IT teams, and business teams to resolve technical and business issues.
- Communicate delivery status, meet timelines, adapt to new technologies, and contribute effectively within an extended French-Indian agile team.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in data engineering, including MongoDB, API integration, and cloud infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer-related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Expert proficiency in Java and experience with Spring Boot.
- Advanced MongoDB knowledge, including the Aggregation Framework, sharding, replication, and Atlas.
- Strong knowledge of REST API design, OAuth2, and API Gateway management.
- Proven experience with cloud environments and proficiency with Git, Maven or Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, and complex SQL queries.
- Strong analytical, verbal, written communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of payments, card payments, banking products, or banking products is preferred.
